Abstract

Boots on the ground outreach is a centerpiece of each the 11 NIOSH funded Agriculture Forestry and Fishing (AFF) Centers across the U.S. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced outreach specialists to rethink how to effectively reach target populations with training and needed resources, while maintaining a safe environment.

Panel members will discuss efforts by four AFF Centers to continue outreach with their region’s agricultural community during the COVID-19 pandemic. Innovative solutions and successful techniques will be shared along with lessons learned. Evaluations of trainings and educational interactions will be discussed.
