  • 800.798.7098   •   563.556.4200
  • Free parking is available on the river side of the hotel.  Enter from W. 2nd Street (see map below).

Poster Reception at National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium:

At the poster reception, we will have an opportunity to visit many exhibits in the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, 350 East 3rd Street in the Port of Dubuque, a walk across the pedestrian bridge or very short drive from our hotel.

Post-conference Workshop at

National Education Center for Agricultural Safety:

We will travel about 12 miles to the National Education Center for Agricultural Safety (NECAS) (8342 NICC Drive, Peosta, Iowa) for the Emergency Preparedness Workshop.  This will give attendees an opportunity to see some of the resources NECAS has available as well as learn to be better prepared for an emergency.  We thank the fine folks at the Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health for conducting this workshop and to NECAS for hosting it.

Getting Here:

Driving:

Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa all come together very near Dubuque.  While it is easy to reach via major highways 3, 20, 52 and 61, the hills and river make for some more complicated turns and ramps in the downtown area.

Flying:

The Eastern Iowa Airport (CID) is located in Cedar Rapids, just under 90 minutes southwest of Dubuque.

The Dubuque Regional Airport (DBQ) is the closest airport though it is served only by Avelo Airlines.

The Waterloo Regional Airport (ALO) is about 90 minutes west of Dubuque and is served by American Airlines.

Dubuque, which bills itself as “Where Iowa Started” has many fascinating places to see with fun and interesting activities to do.  Hikes, historic sites, natural areas, murals, fun shops, delicious restaurants – there is something for everyone!  Check out the Dubuque Convention and Visitors Bureau to help you plan your visit.  If you have the flexibility, it is definitely worth spending some extra time in this area!
