Learning Objective: Using innovative methods for outreach purposes of agricultural safety and health.
The Iowa Center for Agricultural Safety and Health (I-CASH) partnered with the University of Iowa, to develop a large digital display for the University of Iowa Mobile Museum. Through the traveling mobile museum bus, this display educated and raised awareness about agricultural safety and health to a statewide audience. I-CASH supports community-driven projects via Youth Grants that are provided to organizations such as FFA and 4-H groups. Using Youth Grant projects as examples, this display educated the general public about current concerns in agricultural safety and health and promoted community level interventions. This project is valuable in that it accessed populations outside of the realms of university research and agricultural safety and health to enhance statewide knowledge.
