Fall 2015: Slow Down. Be Patient.

Roadway-Safety-Poster-2015In Fall of 2015, we focused on rural roadway safety during harvest season.  We released two new PSAs with the support of the Injury Prevention Research Center, the Great Plains Center for Agricultural Health, and the Iowa Farm Bureau.  Posters and driving tip cards were displayed at FSA and Regional ISU Extension offices.  We also worked with 11 FFA groups who distributed 200 new slow moving vehicle (SMV) decals to farmers who needed them.

I-CASH also worked with the International Society for Agricultural Safety and Health to distribute a Rural Roadway Safety Handout for Farm Safety Week.  Our ongoing rural billboard campaign  reminding drivers to “Be Patient, Slow Down, and Buckle Up” remains active throughout Iowa.
