I-CASH worked with the ISU Extension and Outreach as well as several public health offices to train more than 30 people in central and western Iowa in respirator fit testing. Agricultural Respiratory Hazards – Livestock & poultry confinements, industrial livestock production (CAFO), pesticides, grain handling, anhydrous ammonia, welding, fumigation, silo entry, paint (spraying), and woodworking
- Livestock hazards include feeding grain and storage of hay and bedding
- Pesticide hazards include organic vapors and aerosols (solid and sprayed liquids)
- Welding hazards include metal fumes (particulates)
