This season’s campaign focused on safety during severe winter weather. We compiled resources from ISU’s Center for Food Security & Public Health and Be Ready Iowa into one easy to read packet that can be used in preparation for harsh winters and during winter weather emergencies. Click here to download and print your own copy to stay prepared this winter.
The packet includes guides on how to keep your family, your farm, your livestock, and your business safe during winter weather emergencies. You’ll also find definitions of types of advisories, an emergency contact form, and a supply kit checklist.
Although this campaign focused primarily on winter weather, you can find resources for other weather events such as tornadoes, floods, and thunderstorms on the ISU website as well.
We also have a variety of summer heat stress resources available from previous seasonal campaigns that can be found here.
Let’s all stay prepared and keep warm this winter!
